Let's Talk New Releases: "Hairy Situations" by C. Desert Rose

Image
Hello Awesome Visitors! Yes, I know today is Tuesday, but I have something talk worthy for everyone. I am proud of my Sister In Write, C. Desert Rose! It is the official release of "Hairy Situations" and I have invited her to dish about it. I admit, sometimes these random story ideas just pop into my head out of nowhere. I could be just sitting there minding my own business when a brand new character yells into my ear. This happened when I wrote “Nethanyel’s Lady Lune” , “From When Jasmine Blooms” , and now with “Hairy Situations” . What is “Hairy Situations” , you may be wondering? Let me take a moment to fill you in. ++++ The long and the short of it is that “Hairy Situations” is a Paranormal Comedy. A spoof on the quintessential and beloved Vampires and Werewolves. What was really interesting was the progression of events that lead to the final product. I had just gotten done with a long day of work and laid in my bed to relax for a little bit. Instantly, I heard the voic

Smashwords Experiment: Review of "The Sultan's Tale"

"The Sultan's Tale" a short story by Manuela Cardiga free offering on Smashwords Genre classification: Erotica, Historical Fiction Hello Awesome Visitors! A while back, I spoke on embarking on a Smashwords experiment, with the purpose of answering a question posed by a fellow author. If you need a refresher of the post, click here . This is book three of the experiment. Upon reading this book, it made me feel as if I were in the middle of the action, so I thought that perhaps this was part of a saga. However, I saw nothing in the blurb that stated it wasn't a standalone work.  In the copy of the work I downloaded, there were a few errors here and there but nothing off-putting. The work was easy to follow but didn't quite meet the heat of what an erotic story should represent. However, I will give her credit for attempting to romance the words. The Rating 3 out of 5 stars

Let's Talk Thursday: The "Vibrancy" Overview

Image
Hello Awesome Visitors! Guess what time it is? It is time for a new episode of ... Today, I want to do a bit of an overview of "All Things Concordant Vibrancy" and share some excerpts from each entry that was part of each book. I am currently working on my contribution to Concordant Vibrancy 5 , which I hear will be the last book in the series. Concordant Vibrancy 1 Element: Earth My story: "Lester's Release" Excerpt: The leather chairs of the conference room rolled backward. Everyone quickly opened the double doors. While his boss and fellow co-workers scurried to the banquet hall for lunch, Lester stayed behind packing up his laptop and projector. The click echoed slightly after he unlocked his briefcase. Lester tossed the bundle of papers inside.  As he shoved his favorite gel pens into the corner pocket, he felt a smooth surface. His gray eyes sparkled with glee. Ensuring the conference room doors were still closed, he pulled the shiny discovery from his bri

Smashwords Experiment (Review of "Ring of Coal and Roses")

"Ring of Coal and Roses" a short story by Nich Wise free offering on Smashwords Genre classification: Gay/Lesbian fiction Hello Awesome Visitors! A few days ago, I spoke on embarking on a Smashwords experiment, with the purpose of answering a question posed by a fellow author. If you need a refresher of the post, click here . This is book two of the experiment. The first book I selected was so horrible that I opted not to post my review on Interludes, although I did share my thoughts on Smashwords. On this blog, it will only be 3 stars and up that will get views. This is the 1st book I'm reading from this author. I'm uncertain whether it's meant to be a standalone or if it's a continuation of a series based on how the story started. Also, just an observation, the cover of the book looks more suited for one of those soap opera romances than the content inside. Now on to the content. I do enjoy the camaraderie of the characters as well as how helpful Daiyuu'

Let's Talk Thursdays: It's Not A Magic Wand

Hello Awesome Visitors! Welcome to another episode of ... This episode of inspired by some words I heard from a song. Normally I don't pay this particular artist any mind but since the beat was catchy I let the song play. One particular line caught my attention, and it's this notion that if a woman just finds the right guy, his sex game can change her sexual proclivity. Unfortunately, it's not just this particular entertainer who spouts that. I'm not going to say he actually thinks it because he was probably trying to find a cool word to rhyme with "safe" and thought "straight" was close enough. I've heard it as some line in a cheesy X-rated film. I have seen it some of the lesser-known erotica literature. Yet, I've rarely (if ever) heard the reverse touted ... that a woman can put it on a man so fierce that it will change his sexual preference from "only pole", "either/or", to "completely straight". Does that me
