Let's Talk: Reversal Book Release

Image
What else can we say, but, “It's the official release day”? It’s really exciting to start the new year off on a high note, regardless of all of the chaos surrounding us in this day and time. I feel like there isn’t much to be said, so I am going to let the story speak for itself. Humanity in Retrograde In this retro-futuristic era, the old look and reproduce as if in the prime of their lives. The babies delivered into this world—sickly, fighting for every second to have a slim chance of survival. To turn this existence on its heels, it requires something … or someone … Special.  When a healthy baby is discovered by Nurse Celestine, she makes it her mission to protect what she believes is a well-kept secret.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for the observant Nurse Trudy to put the pieces together to utilize for her personal gain as well as orchestrate Nurse Celestine’s ruin. Can Nurse Celestine succeed in combating the determined Nurse Trudy, or will all that is sp...

Let's Talk: Unity (Day 6 of the Concordant Vibrancy book tour)

Image
Hello Awesome Visitors! Welcome back! It is Day 6 of the Concordant Vibrancy book tour. Today, no other than my Hot Hubby in Literature, Adonis Mann, is center stage as he speaks on his participation in Concordant Vibrancy . Adonis, take it away! The Concordant Vibrancy Collection holds an exceptionally important space in my heart. Through this channel, Adonis Mann, the author was born. I will be eternally grateful for the doors it’s opened up for me. My story of joining the Concordant Vibrancy project is an interesting one. In 2014 I just recently signed my contract to become an All Authors Publishing House author. I was, as yet, inexperienced in the field and knew very little about anything other than I was now being represented by All Authors and I would have to complete the book I was working on very soon. One day I received an email asking if I would be interested in participating in the anthology project. I was delighted but there was one big issue … I wasn’t published yet. Bein...

Let's Talk: Strength (Day 3 of Concordant Vibrancy book Tour)

Image
Hello Awesome Visitors! It is Day 3 of the Concordant Vibrancy book tour. Today Carol Cassada gives a glimpse of the amount of strength it takes to survive. Question 1: What prompted you to be a part of the Concordant Vibrancy concept? This is the third time I’ve participated in the Concordant Vibrancy series. I’ve known Yasmin, Monica, and the All Authors family for a while. When they invited me to be part of volume 3 of the anthology, I jumped at the chance.I loved the first two volumes, and to me the concept of Concordant Vibrancy was unique.    Participating in the anthology challenged my mind. I delved into my philosophical side as I contemplated the theme’s question. Then I had to create a story centered around my answer.   It was a fun experience, and Concordant Vibrancy helped break me out of my writing comfort zone. I was able to see what else I could create instead of my usual genre. Question 2: Which Concordant Vibrancy books are you featured in? I’ve been...

Let's Talk: Awareness (Day 2 of Concordant Vibrancy book tour)

Image
Hello Awesome Visitors! Welcome to Day 2 of the Concordant Vibrancy book tour. Today the 1st of the participants, C. Desert Rose, stops by to discuss how awareness plays a role in one's survival. C. Desert Rose, take it away! I know you're there! 😁 I’m just kidding! Hello, everyone. C. Desert Rose here; just stopping by to say hello and share the 411 on my “Concordant Vibrancy” adventure throughout the year. Going into this blog tour I was asked these questions. What prompted you to be a part of the Concordant Vibrancy concept? Which Concordant Vibrancy books are you featured in? Why did you choose a certain attribute as your answer to CV5's theme question? Honestly, where do I begin? How can one fully encompass and quantify the value of the above questions without potentially leaving something out? It seems difficult but I will do my best. I’m going to try to answer all of these questions at once, albeit, potentially not in order. I, gratefully, have been in all of the Co...

The Characters of My Universe (part 2)

Image
Hello Awesome Visitors! It's time for a new episode of ... This is a continuation of last Thursday's "Let's Talk". So ... to get caught up, please click here . The characters I may (or may not) consider strong will be from my contributions to The Divergent Ink short story anthology collection. To date, there are two books completed from this collection, Crackles of the Heart and Pleasure Prints . Each book centers around a question, and each participant has to answer the question in one's own way in short story form. The question posed in Crackles of the Heart was "Can the hot, handsome guy fall for the average, awkward woman?" My story featured in Crackles is "Seven Days of Stimuli". My awkward character's name is Bette. Bette is a hard-working small-town woman with simple pleasures. When visually stunning Jesse comes into the store on what's normally her day off, her mind accelerates into complex overdrive. The story follows Bette...

The Characters of My Universe (part 1)

Image
Hello Awesome Visitors! Welcome to another episode of ... Today, I want to address a question that came about as I was chatting with my Sisters and Brethren in Write. The discussion centered around character building and if any of us ever built a "weak character" or perceived any of our characters as "weak individuals". It made me think of some of my characters in a few of my stories. Today, I would like to talk about some of my characters as well as provide excerpts from each. Just for a bit of brevity, I'm going to divide this into parts. I will also spread this out (like Part One for this Thursday, Part Two for next Thursday, and so forth). Part One will focus on characters in my individual works. Part Two will focus on my characters in the Divergent Ink collection. Part Three will focus on my characters in the Concordant Vibrancy collection. Part One Read more here . The first character up for discussion i...

Let's Talk Thursday: Episode 16

Image
Hello Awesome Visitors! Let's Talk. I have many reasons to feel higher than a person who's had a satisfying orgasm. For one, Continuous Drips officially launched yesterday.  It's available on Amazon but will be available in paperback form in early 2015. Continuous Drips Amazon Two, it has gotten a few nice reviews.  Check out this one on Amazon.com: "An easy book to dip into" . Plus, Y. Correa gives her experience with reading the stories. Three, I'm going to give you guys an excerpt.  This time, from "FAN-tasy Island": Warning: Explicit heat ahead. “You wore it.  I knew it would look lovely on you.” Illustria smiled against the cloak covering her mouth.  Lukas was one of her favorite clients.  There were moments when she would look out into the crowd, praying he would be one of the faces. FAN-tasy Island doubted her potential, but Illustria was able to convince them to give her a try.  It wasn't e...

Let's Talk Thursday: Episode 14

Image
Hello Awesome Visitors!  Let's talk for a minute. In the last Episode, I mentioned three short stories of mine that would be featured in the short story collection, Continuous Drips .  Today I'd like to talk some more about one of them. Let's explore... Derailed Endurance (staccato version) Why "staccato version"? This is labeled the "staccato version" because this particular rendition was submitted for inclusion in this collection.  I will come out with a more "robust" version (if you will) when it is released independently, so the visual for the independent one will not be the same as this one.  However, that won't be out until sometime next year. What's the scenario? This is always the tricky part... to talk about a story without giving away too much.  However, I will do my best: At the beginning, it seems the reader is thrust into the middle of the action.  The main character Korey is pulling into a parking lot. ...
